Biography

Carol works with various manufacturers and publishers to inspire all levels of crafters through a wide range of mediums including scrapbooking, book arts, paper arts, polymer clay, digital photograph, and wearable arts.  Some of the nationally-known manufacturers she works with include Duncan, Plaid, Delta, Jacquard, Ranger Inks, and Lazertran.  Jacquard uses her work in their catalogs, displays, posters, and print ads.

Her passion for genealogical research allowed her to trace her Lopetrone family tree back to 1535 to Antonio di Petrone.  This drive also provides a basis for much of her artwork.  Her Italian-inspired, clay masks, photography, and other artwork have appeared in galleries and in national art shows.

Biography

 

Carol M. Heppner is a multi-media Artist and Writer.  She is a Design Member of the Craft & Hobby Association and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Scrap and Stamp Arts, Scott Publications.  Her books and articles go beyond showing you how to duplicate crafts.  She teaches you techniques that you can use to broaden your artistic skills.

 

Her book, Trading Cards Treasures (Martingale/Chapelle) shows readers how to create beautiful trading cards using their own photographs.  Her book, Scrapbooking Techniques: INKING (Sterling/Chapelle), offers dozens of innovative ways to smoothly apply ink to paper in order to create spectacular scrapbooking pages. 

 

Her popular Art Smarts™  column in Scrap & Stamp Arts magazine explains various techniques and explores different topics of interest for the scrap and stamp artist.  Art Smarts shows readers how to get more value from the products they own.  The column’s topic is demonstrated through its projects.
