Materials and Tools


Archival paper glue

Black cardstock, 2” by 3”

Cream crackle scrapbook paper, 1 ½” by 2 ½”

Eyelet setting tools

Fabric bead paint, silver

Fabric glue

Jumbo playing, card cut to measure, 2 ½” by 3 ½”

Photograph, 1 ½” by 1 ¾”

Printable transparency paper

Red and gold check scrapbook paper, 2” by 2”

Red baby rick rack, ¼” by 4 ¾”

Silver brads, 3

Silver heart brads, 2

Spray fixative

Tiny hole punch

 

Use the archival paper glue to attach the cream crackle scrapbook paper onto the black cardstock, and then both papers to the lower-right corner of the jumbo playing card.

 

Glue the photograph image onto the cream crackle scrapbook paper.

 

Cut a crown from the 2 by 2 –inch red and red and gold check scrapbook paper, and then glue it on the photograph.

 

Print the text “Queen of Hearts” onto the transparency paper.   Spray the text with a fixative.  Cut the text to fit the jumbo playing card.  Use the two silver brads to secure the text to the jumbo playing card.

 

Use the fabric glue to attach the red rick rack to the black cardstock.  Let the glue dry.

 

Secure the three silver brads onto the red rick rack.

 

Apply tiny dots of silver fabric bead paint on the tips of the crown.  Let the paint dry.

Embellishment Tip:  

 

   To ensure a perfect crown fit, place a Post It Note on the subject’s head and lightly draw your crown.  Then place this Post It Note on decorative paper as a pattern template to cut out the crown.
